Charlotte Fraser, Head of French-speaking markets, and Clément Achard, User Development and Training Officer for France attended the prestigious Awards Ceremony at the Residence of the British Ambassador to France, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. His Majesty’s Ambassador to France, Dame Menna Rawlings, hosted the evening and announced the winners and runners-up for this year.

Paxman was shortlisted in the top 8 companies in the SME of the Year category - an outstanding achievement after a rigorous application process. 31 UK and French companies applied from across every region of the UK and France. Paxman’s application was reviewed by teams from the Franco-British Chamber and the British Embassy in Paris, before a final Jury decision chaired by Françoise Rausch, the President of the Franco-British Chamber, and Jo Hawley, the Country Director of the Commercial Section of the British Embassy in Paris. Partner companies BDO France, Eurostar, Jaguar Land Rover, and Portland Communications also participated in the process.

Charlotte commented, “It is such a privilege to be awarded the SME of the year award, especially against such strong competition!

Last year scalp cooling was added to the French cancer care guidelines as a recommended treatment, which is fantastic news for patient access to this important means of managing the devastating side effect of chemotherapy hair loss.

We continue to work hard to educate the public and clinicians about the science and benefits of the treatment, so they understand the importance of scalp cooling as a way of improving quality of life and giving patients increased control during chemotherapy treatment.”
