Paxman’s Clinical Innovation Manager, Dr. Aishwarya Bandla, announced this week that she is the recipient of the 2025 IEEE Theodore W. Hissey Outstanding Young Professional Award, the IEEE’s highest recognition for young professionals.
IEEE (Insitute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the world’s largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.
The award recognises the significant contributions of young professionals to the technical community and IEEE fields of interest, particularly for her pioneering work in patient-centric healthcare and the innovative and influential change she has had on the community.
Dr. Bandla is a senior member of IEEE, volunteer leader, and has co-led the international, multidisciplinary team that developed a wearable device to prevent chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy as part of her role as Clinical Innovation Manager at Paxman and Principal Investigator at the N.1 Institute for Health at the National University of Singapore.

Aishwarya also has a passion for building a community of socially responsible young professionals and female technology leaders, enriching their IEEE experience. She is currently co-leading the development of IEEE Hive, a comprehensive platform designed to support career and leadership development of students and early career professionals.
