Last month, the biennial NUS Alumni Awards 2023 honoured a diverse group of individuals with truly remarkable accomplishments who have distinguished themselves through significant and impactful contributions to their alma mater, society and the world.

Paxman’s Regional R&D Manager, Dr Aishwarya Bandla, was amongst twelve young NUS alumni named Outstanding Young Alumni who were honoured for their achievements and outstanding contributions to their chosen fields.

Dr Bandla commented, “I am grateful for all the support, camaraderie and opportunities which made my ‘NUS decade’ remarkable! I am incredibly proud of what we are building together as a team at Paxman Scalp Cooling, The N.1 Institute for Health, and National University Cancer Institute, Singapore, with humble beginnings at Singapore Institute for Neurotechnology (SINAPSE) and NUS Department of Biomedical Engineering. I am also fortunate to have fostered an invaluable network of individuals, with shared passion to create collective impact, through IEEE, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, and Lean In Network, Singapore. Cheers to all you folks who I love volunteering together with – you inspire me to go the extra mile, and pay it forward.”
