Patient Satisfaction with Scalp Cooling Poster presented at St Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference

The teams from the Breast Centre (Center) at the University Hospital Munich (LMU), the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics CCC Munich, and Gynäkologische Praxis Dr. Wolfgarten, Betaklinik, Bonn, presented a Poster at the recent 16th International St Gallen Breast Cancer Conference, in Vienna, Austria.

The data concluded that patients tolerated scalp cooling using the PAXMAN system as long as hair loss was successfully prevented. Furthermore the wellbeing of patients with successful scalp cooling was significantly higher than that of patients who discontinued scalp cooling. The findings were also in accordance with the results of the SCALP-trial (Nangia J et al., JAMA 2017) and additional data on Quality Of Life.
